CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY (BS CET) UNDERGRADUATE OVERVIEW

The Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology (CET) is a professionally-oriented program that blends engineering principles with construction management practices to prepare graduates for leadership roles in the construction industry. The program emphasizes the application of engineering techniques, project management, and construction methods to solve real-world problems related to building infrastructure, commercial and residential structures, transportation systems, and more.

The program combines classroom instruction with laboratory exercises, design projects, and internships or cooperative education experiences. Students gain practical skills in construction layout, surveying, materials testing, and software applications like AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, and BIM.

Graduates are equipped to pursue careers as construction project managers, field engineers, cost estimators, site supervisors, and construction schedulers. The program is designed to meet industry standards and provide pathways for professional certifications and continued education.
