Dr. Yanlin Wang is an Associate Professor of Practice and the Director and Coordinator of the Chinese program at Texas Tech University. She has more than 20 years of experience teaching Chinese at universities in both China and US. She has created the Chinese Language and Area Studies concentration for the bachelors degree program at Texas Tech University. In 2019, Dr. Wang received a SIG Award from US Chinese Language Teachers Association. She was also honored with the A&S Teaching Innovation Award in 2021 and the TLPDC Spotlight Award in 2023 at Texas Tech University. Her research and publications focus on various issues of technology-enhanced Chinese language teaching and learning, Chinese language acquisition and pedagogy, and service-based Chinese language learning. Besides, she has invested a significant amount of time to outreach and promotion of Chinese language and culture in local communities.
