Combine your career interests with the skills you obtain in language classes! The Global Readiness Certificate allows you to connect your career interests with your language studies, whether you are interested in working in Texas, the US, or abroad. In addition to the ability to speak in another language, language courses provide you with many of the skills valued by employers, such as cross-cultural competency and increased analytical ability. Focus on your career and enhance your resume by earning the Global Readiness Certificate.
Requirements:
- SPAN 2302 A Second Course in Spanish IIOR
SPAN 2304 Intermediate Spanish for Hispanic Students IIOR
SPAN 2607 Intensive Spanish - Second Year - One course with a career focus or a career-oriented project
- SPAN 4308 Business Spanish OR
- SPAN 4309 Spanish Language Studies-Special Topics (must be approved)
- An approved study abroad program or internship with a global focus for a minimum of
three credits
- SPAN 3306-260 Cultures of the Spanish Speaking World I (Study Abroad)OR
- SPAN 3309 Spanish Language Studies–Special Topics OR
- SPAN 4309-260 Spanish Language Studies-Special Topics (Study Abroad)OR
- SPAN 4343 Advanced Language SkillsOR
