CMLL offers a complete course of study in Italian, from the beginning to the advanced levels.

The Italian courses offered at the advanced level are the following:

• ITAL 3303 - Italian Conversation (taught in Italian, pre-requisite ITAL 2302 or permission of the Instructor)
• ITAL 4303 - Advanced Italian Conversation (taught in Italian, pre-requisite ITAL 3303 or permission of the Instructor)  

The Italian Program also offers three courses, on Italian and Italian American cinema:

• ITAL 2315 - Italian Filmmakers: The Cinema of Federico Fellini (taught in English, no pre-requisites - Creative Arts core curriculum course)
• ITAL 2315 - Italian Filmmakers: Italian American Directors (taught in English, no pre-requisites - Creative Arts core curriculum course)
• ITAL 3390 - Italian Cinema: Survey of Italian Cinema (taught in English, no pre-requisites - College of Arts & Sciences Core/General Education Requirements in the second 3 hours of 6 hours in L/P/C that are required for BA and BGS students)
