ETD Submission: DMA and MM Students

MM Students:

1. Prepare PDF Copies of Programs

The student should have .pdf files of programs before they begin the process. The files should be titled chronologically by date of performance as follows:

      • Lastname_mm_1.pdf
      • Lastname_mm_2.pdf

2. Create an ETD account

Follow the instructions for creating an ETD login.

When creating an account, fill in the required fields as follows:

        • Title: MM Recitals

        • Type of Document: Project

        • Keywords: Composer names

        • Abstract: Numbered list of projects and composers

        • Your Committee: Names of members of your advisory committee

        • Release Options: Leave box unchecked (no Embargo)

Upload program PDFs to your ETD account.  Your first recital program should be uploaded as your "Primary Document".  Your second recital program should be uploaded as a "Supplemental Document."

3. Submitting your program recordings

Create a folder in TTU OneDrive-- Labeled with your name (as it is in Vireo) and degree

Place all sound or video files in this folder

 Share the folder with Shelley Barba (Library) and Andrea Cooper (Graduate School Reviewer)
 

**You will receive a confirmation email from Shelley Barba (Library) that the files have been received and archived.

 

DMA Students:

1. Create an ETD account

Follow the instructions for creating an ETD login.

When creating an account, fill in the required fields as follows:

      • Title: Title of your Document

      • Type of Document: Project

      • Keywords: Appropriate keywords describing your project's content

      • Abstract: A 1-2 paragraph abstract summarizing the project paper

      • Your Committee: Names of members of your advisory committee

      • Release Options: Please select publication delay option you have discussed with your advisor.  This publication delay will apply to your project document only. 

2. Prepare and Submit PDF Copy of Project paper

DMA project papers should follow the Graduate School formatting guidelines: Formatting Manual

The file should be titled as follows:  Lastname_DMAProject_YYYY.pdf.  (*YYYY = the year you are graduating i.e. 2023)

Upload your PDF as your "Primary Document" to your ETD account

3. Prepare and Submit PDF Copies of Recital Programs

The student should have .pdf files of programs before they begin the process. The files should be titled chronologically by date of performance as follows:

      • Lastname_firstname_dma_1.pdf
      • Lastname_firstname_dma_2.pdf
      • Lastname_firstname_dma_3.pdf
      • Lastname_firstname_dma_4.pdf

Upload program PDFs to your ETD account - Your first recital programs should each be uploaded as a  "Supplemental Document."

4. Prepare and Submit Recital Recordings: 

Create a folder in TTU OneDrive-- Labeled with your name (as it is in Vireo) and degree

Place all sound or video files in this folder

Share the folder with Shelley Barba* (Library) and Allison Belisle (Graduate School)
