When Texas Tech bid for the Big 12 Track & Field tournament, Diane was tasked with coordination of Big 12 and NCAA requirements of facilities' needs, officials, volunteers, Big 12 teams (coaches, student athletes and other staff.) This consisted of all forms of communication, finding all the personnel needed and all the travel arrangements, lodging, meals, snacks, payment, etc. for all involved. What resonated with many coaches was that Diane made sure the tents were strategically set so while the events continued, the teams could still see their teams compete. She dealt with over 800 individuals to pull off an official and fair tournament giving every participating athlete equal opportunity to be successful.
