Kyla is the epitome of a Texas Tech employee. She daily lives out her commitment to student success in all aspects of her job; she sees beyond the disabilities of students. Kyla volunteered to attend an institute with the Association on Higher Education and Disabilities and from this hatched the idea to develop an IS 1100 course specifically tailored to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Because of this insight, the course, as well as five other sections targeting students with specific disabilities, successfully began this fall.
