Kacey Marshall
Lead Academic Advisor
National Wind Institute

As a Lead Academic Advisor in the National Wind Institute, Kacey Marshall created new program assessment guidelines for faculty, walking them through the process and setting up trainings for new program assessment issues in alignment with SACS accreditation. Through this she was able to bridge the gap between faculty and staff in regard to student learning outcomes, student engagement, and student success. In addition, Kacey takes student retention seriously and has developed retention practices geared toward her most at-risk students. She actively tracks student progress and performance, advocating for campus resources and the teaching of student autonomy. Kacey is also a firm believer in the university mission to create competitive global citizens, and sees the recruitment and retention of students as a way to further that mission. She attends Raider Road shows, communicates with researchers and vendors, and helps organize summer camp activities as a pipeline for K-12 students interested in STEM fields. Through these actions it is evident that Kacey is dedicated to student success.
