As an Assistant Director in Transition and Engagement, Rachel Jackson oversees the Majors & Minors Fair and the Ready.Set.Register Fair. Both events are designed to help students better align their personal and professional goals with those of the university and ensure that students are well-prepared to make the next transition in their academic career. Students frequently credit the Majors & Minors Fair for helping them find the major they love and setting them on the right path towards graduation. Rachel has worked hard to develop relationships across campus, and there has been a four-fold increase in campus departments who participate in the fair. She is committed to ensuring that students have the best experience possible at Texas Tech. In addition, Rachel built the department's social media presence from scratch. She oversees the development of videos that help both prospective and current students better understand the campus climate at Texas Tech. Before students even set foot on campus, they are excited about Texas Tech thanks to the engaging interactions they have on social media through Rachel's commitment to ensure that each student finds the thing that makes Texas Tech feel like home to him or her.
