As the Director of Media and Communication for the College of Arts and Sciences, Blayne Beal has revolutionized the college's marketing strategies. Blayne was hired in the midst of rebranding the College and trying to devise a plan that would highlight the College's vision and diversity. His impact was immediate. As a result, the response to his work has been overwhelming and has attracted national attention. Blayne received a Bronze Award at the 38th Annual Telly Awards in the General-Fundraising category for a video he produced in support of the College's first capital campaign. More than 600 industry professionals make up the judging panel, and the year he received this award there were more than 12,000 entries. The Bronze Award is an impressive example of the quality of his work and of the success the College has had in promoting itself to its' alumni, students, and the larger academic community.
