As a Director in the Rawls College of Business Career Management Center, Laura Sanders has successfully implemented career expos each year that have grown in size and scope and have been recognized by employers as one of the best run career expos in the country. She has developed a corporate sponsor program which generates roughly $80,000 each year. This money is used to increase programs and services for the students. The program has also assisted in strengthening partnerships with key companies who recruit students. In addition, Laura has begun partnerships with members of the dean's office to collaborate on building Rawls Raiders, which focuses on engagement with new alumni in an effort to build a bond with them before the college loses touch after graduation, and a mentor/mentee program that directly assigns students a mentor based on their major and career goals. Laura's efforts are positively impacting students not only today but for years to come in their careers.
