As a Housing Advisor in University Student Housing, Rozalind Alston has gone beyond her typical job duties to ensure everyone who interacts with Texas Tech is taken care of and leaves with a good impression. In her short time at Texas Tech, Rozalind has proven to be someone who is dependable and caring, frequently assisting students and staff at odd hours without hesitation and with a great attitude. Some examples include setting up and tearing down the annual Carol of Lights event during inclement weather, transporting a professional entertainer around campus at 11pm, and providing tissues to upset parents on residence hall move-in day. Additionally, she has left a positive impact on students and staff within her department through her excellent customer service, her optimistic attitude, and her willingness to pitch in for even the most undesirable tasks. Rozalind has shown that compassion and a positive attitude can make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
