For the past 11 years, Linda Rodriguez has been an integral member of the staff in our department and has served as a leader and advisor to the faculty, staff and student workers in our department. She routinely celebrates and encourages our department through various activities and events that are designed to create a more efficient and responsive department as a whole. These actions have directly led to the promotion and retention of faculty and staff within our department. Whether it is budget preparation, new account creation, staff team building, sitting on various awards committees, or just a listening ear, Linda is continually creating and exploring new ways to bring a diverse group together to accomplish great things. At the end of day, she has demonstrated not only great leadership, but also compassion and understanding when working with people from all different walks of life. It is how Linda approaches both her job and interactions with others that truly reflects her commitment to Texas Tech University. Her work ethic and desire to make TTU a better place for everyone has made huge impact on how I approach my own responsibilities here at TTU. To me, this is what true commitment to Texas Tech looks like.
