Weston is a devoted Red Raider. With his work at Texas Tech Public Media, he recently took on the challenge of creating the Texas Tech Centennial Documentary, From Here, A Texas Tech Story. Weston is a devout storyteller and made it his mission to tell the story, the whole story, of Texas Tech. He read through every edition of La Ventana, spent days upon days at the Southwest Collection, spoke to community members and past Red Raiders, and really worked to produce something every single Red Raider could be proud of. He told a story, not only of Texas Tech's history, but the story of what makes a Red Raider, a Red Raider. While there were other staff members who helped with editing the script, voicing over some speaker parts, and other minor details, it's not an exaggeration to say 90% of this entire documentary was produced, edited, created, and worked through by Weston. Spending long nights and weekends creating this documentary for Texas Tech was important to Weston. Through his dedication, he created something that Red Raiders will be able to cherish for the next 100 years. This was Weston's way of giving back to Texas Tech.
