Dimitri Volchenkov, Ph.D. Professor

Dr. Dimitri Volchenkov is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Texas Tech University. His research combines probability and nonlinear dynamics with the modeling of complex systems: random walks and Markov processes on graphs, non-ergodic stochastic dynamics and predictability, and mathematical models of social and behavioral systems, including belief dynamics, conformity, trust, and polarization. He is the author of four research monographs published by Springer and World Scientific, an Editor of Discontinuity, Nonlinearity, and Complexity, and an Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Nonlinear Dynamics. He holds habilitations from Aix-Marseille and Bielefeld, a Humboldt Research Award, and the International George M. Zaslavsky Award in Nonlinear Science and Complexity.
