Mathematics Graduate Certificate
The Graduate Certificate in Mathematics is an 18-hour certificate designed for anyone with a master’s or doctoral degree (in any field) who wants to increase mastery of mathematics. Students may complete any 18 hours of graduate courses with the approval of the graduate director, usually chosen from the online offerings designed for in-service teachers who desire to teach dual credit in high school or teach at a junior college. It is preferred, but not required, that applicants hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.
The Graduate Certificate requires 18 semester credit hours of approved graduate mathematics coursework. Courses are selected in consultation with the Graduate Director to align with your professional goals and background.
Available online offerings include:
- MATH 5366 & 5367 – Introduction to Analysis I & II
- MATH 5368 & 5369 – Abstract Algebra I & II
- MATH 5370 – History of Mathematics
- MATH 5371 & 5372 – Topology of the Real Line I & II
- MATH 5375 & 5376 – Modern Geometry I & II
- MATH 5377 & 5378 – Applied Mathematics I & II
- MATH 5379 – Probability: Theory and Application
- MATH 5380 – Statistics: Theory and Application
Additional graduate courses may be approved based on availability and academic preparation.
