Asim Dey, Ph.D. Assistant Professor

Dr. Dey received his doctoral degree in Statistics from the University of Texas at Dallas and completed his postdoctoral training at Princeton University and the University of Texas at Dallas. Before joining Texas Tech University in Fall 2024, he served as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at El Paso. Dr. Dey’s research broadly focuses on statistical methods for complex networks, topological and geometric data analysis, statistical analysis of imaging data, high-dimensional statistics, environmental statistics, and infectious disease modeling. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF DMS 2453756), NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (21-AIST21_2-0020), and the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) Individual Research Grant.
