Erhan Guler, Ph.D. Postdoctoral Teaching Scholar

Erhan Guler received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Ankara University in 2010. He held postdoctoral research positions at KU Leuven (2011–2012), and Kobe University (2014), and a visiting research position at the University of Granada (2014). He joined Bartin University as an Assistant Professor in 2013, became an Associate Professor in 2019, and was promoted to Full Professor in 2024. He joined Texas Tech University as a Postdoctoral Teaching Scholar in Fall 2024.

His research focuses on differential geometry, geometric analysis, and mathematical physics, particularly minimal and maximal surfaces, hypersurfaces in Euclidean and Minkowski spaces, Weierstrass-type representations, curvature theory, Cheng-Yau, and Laplace–Beltrami operators. His recent work includes higher-dimensional minimal and maximal surfaces and implicit-explicit geometric constructions with orthogonal projections in Riemannian and pseudo-Riemannian geometry.
