Anh-Khoa Vo, Ph.D. Assistant Professor
Dr. Anh-Khoa Vo obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics in 2019 from International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA), Italy, with his studies mainly conducted at Gran Sasso Science Institute. Before joining Texas Tech University, he served as a tenure-earning Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Florida A&M University from 2021 to 2024. In 2019-2021, he was a postdoctoral researcher at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Earlier, in 2018, he was awarded an FWO postdoctoral fellowship by the Research Foundation - Flanders, Belgium, with his research hosted at Hasselt University. In the same year, he also held a short-term research associate position at University of Goettingen, Germany. Dr. Vo's research focuses on computational methods for inverse problems in partial differential equations, with applications in physics and biology. His early work primarily addressed single-coefficient inverse problems, particularly in source localization for oncological applications and landmine detection. His current research centers on multiple-coefficient inverse problems.
