Sophia Jang, Ph.D. Professor

Sophia R.-J. Jang received her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Texas Tech University in 1990. Before returning to Texas Tech as a faculty member in 2008, she was a faculty member at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her research interests are in mathematical biology and applied mathematics, with an emphasis on dynamical systems and differential equations. Her current research includes mathematical modeling in cancer biology and epidemiology, population dynamics, and stochastic modeling.
