Biography

Dr. Thompson received a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Texas A&M University for advances in the numerical analysis of finite element methods. His postdoctoral work spanned Rice University, Simula Research Laboratory and Oxford University and focused on mathematical modeling and computing methods for the study of human physiology, especially in pathologies of the central nervous system. He joined Texas Tech University in the Fall of 2022.
