Biography

Dr. Dey received his doctoral degree in Statistics from the University of Texas at Dallas and completed his post-doctoral training at Princeton University and the University of Texas at Dallas. Before joining Texas Tech University in the Fall of 2024, he served as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at El Paso. Dr. Dey's research focuses broadly on statistical methods for complex networks, topological and geometric data analysis, high dimensional statistics, environmental statistics, and infectious disease modeling. His work has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF DMS 2453756) and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (21-AIST21_2-0020).
