Visitor Parking
Welcome to Texas Tech University—we’re glad you’re here!
When you arrive on campus, please stop at one of our entry stations where our attendants are available to provide campus maps, directions to your destination, and answers to any questions you may have. Entry station attendants can also help you identify the most convenient parking areas based on your destination. If your visit includes pre-arranged parking, attendants can guide you to your designated location.
Visitors may choose from both free and paid parking options across campus.
Evening & weekend parking is free weekdays from 8:00 PM - 7:30 AM and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Exceptions are enforced at all times:
- 24-hour reserved spaces (including all Residence Hall lots) marked by signage.
- Service vehicle spaces
- ADA spaces (valid placard or plate required)
- Areas reserved for special campus events/gamedays
How to Use Park & Pay
Park & Pay spaces are available on campus to those with and without ePermits.
The interior of campus is not accessible to students on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Only employees, service and other authorized vehicles may drive past the entry stations during this time.
Payment is required for Park & Pay areas weekdays from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. for all who park (including those with and without ePermits). Weekdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. those with any valid Texas Tech ePermit may park for free in these areas; only individuals without a valid Texas Tech ePermit must pay the hourly rate.
To use the pay machines, follow these steps:
- Push any button to activate the pay machine. The screen will light up.
- Enter your license plate number and push “OK”
- Add the amount of time that you will be parked for.
- Either press “OK” to pay with a card or insert coins.
- If paying with card, insert card or use tap to pay.
- Don’t forget to take your receipt.
Use Text-to-Pay by following these steps:
- Locate the Text-to-Pay sign in your parking lot and text the associated code to 25023.
- Follow the steps provided to set up payment.
