Toys for Tickets

In a partnership with the Shriners Children's Hospital of Texas, Toys for Tickets allows those who have received a Texas Tech parking citation to bring in a new, unwrapped toy equal to or more than the fine on a citation for the citation's dismissal. A receipt for the toy is needed for verification. Other qualifications may apply.

Toys for Tickets began in 2006 and has provided more than 1,300 toys worth nearly $22,000 to local children.

Only one citation dismissal may be awarded. Citations 16 (parking in a space or area designated for persons with disabilities without the proper insignia), 17 (blocking an access ramp or curb cut designated to aid persons with disabilities), and 18 (display or use of a lost, stolen, forged, revoked, or altered decal or license plate) are not included for the offer. Monetary donations to the program cannot be accepted.
