Parking Violation Appeals & Parking Policy Advisory Committee

Charge

The Parking Violations Appeals and Parking Policy Advisory Committee shall review decisions of the traffic and parking appeals officer when there is a significant dispute over facts or major extenuating circumstances. The committee will also recommend policies relating to parking on university property.

Appointment

Appointments will be made by the provost. Committee members will be nominated through standard procedures.

Operating Procedures

Written appeals will be provided to the committee by the traffic and parking appeals officer when there is a significant dispute over facts or major extenuating circumstances. Such appeals shall be heard promptly according to the process defined by the provost. The decision of each sub-committee shall be considered as final.

Chairperson

Each sub-committee will elect its chairperson from the faculty or staff members.

1. One faculty member nominated by the Faculty Senate (two-year appointment)
2. One staff member nominated by the Staff Senate (two-year appointment)
3. One student member nominated by the Office of Student Affairs (one-year appointment)
