Madeline Goettsch is a senior at Texas Tech University, soon to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Plant and Soil Science-Horticulture and Turfgrass.  Madeline is from Allen, Texas just north of Dallas, but was born in Jakarta, Indonesia.  Her father is a global golf course superintendent and she has always loved being outdoors and traveling.  Madeline hopes to begin her career in horticulture as a researcher for a plant breeding lab or as a global plant consultant.

Madeline is a leader of the 2018 Trial Gardens.  She is very detailed and thorough, and makes sure the trial plants are taken care of.  Watering, planting, weeding, labeling, photography, data taking, and organization are all crucial aspects that will make the 2018 Trial Gardens a success.  Madeline is dedicated to her work, and she enjoys new challenges everyday.
