Top academic standouts from Texas Tech's Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources were recognized as Dean's Scholars on Friday (Feb. 18) at the academic unit's historic Dairy Barn. The awards, funded by various donations to the college, are based on academic excellence as well as leadership, character and citizenship.

The scholarships were established by the college to reward academic excellence and to support outstanding students who choose to major in agricultural and natural sciences, said Davis College Interim Dean Cindy Akers. The awards are based on entrance examination scores and standing in high school graduating class.
