Background

Dr. Ha joined Texas Tech University as a Research Assistant Professor in May 2023. Before this, he received a Doctor of Philosophy in Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Hanoi, Vietnam (in collaboration with RIKEN, Yokohama, Japan) in 2016.

Research Interests

• Specialty: plant physiology, chemical biology, genetics and epigenetics.
• Position vision: leading projects involving evaluation of abiotic stress – drought, salt, cold and heat, high CO2 – tolerance and yield potential of Arabidopsis, cotton, sorghum, soybean, common bean and corn in greenhouse and field conditions, and development of stress resilient crops by the use of signaling molecules and genetic engineering.
