Ideation Program Manager
Ryan Bain
Ryan Bain is originally from Arlington, Texas. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2016 with a Bachelors in Business Marketing and Management and earned her Master of Science in Human Sciences with a focus on events and wine from Texas Tech University.
In 2018, Ryan began working at Texas Tech University with the Center for Transformative Undergraduate Experiences (TrUE), where she held multiple roles, eventually serving as the Administrator for Undergraduate Research and Events. She now works at the Texas Tech Innovation Hub, where she supports ideation-stage programming and helps guide early-stage startups.
Ryan is an active leader in the Texas Tech and Lubbock community. She has served as a Texas Tech Staff Senator, held leadership roles in the Graduate Hospitality & Retail Management Association, and mentors students through programs such as Mentor Tech. She is also a student organization advisor for multiple fraternities and sororities at TTU. Additionally, Ryan is a long-time member of the Junior League of Lubbock, where she has chaired numerous committees and events. She is involved in other local nonprofits and professional organizations including the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and Young Professionals of Lubbock.
Outside of work, Ryan is a passionate event coordinator and wine enthusiast. Since moving to Lubbock in 2016, she has worked with several local wineries to plan and coordinate events. She also started a nonprofit supporting West Texas law enforcement. Ryan is married—her husband, Jeff, works at Texas Tech University with the Police Department—and they share their home with a spirited blue heeler puppy. She enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, attending Texas Tech sporting events, and building strong community connections. One day, she hopes to open her own event center and vineyard.
