Sanjaya Senadheera

Dr. Sanjaya Senadheerais anAssociate Professorof Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering, and also serves as Director of TechMRT and as Associate Director of the Southern Plains Transportation Center.His research interests are constructionmaterials and sustainable design. His research hasbrought over $12million to Texas Tech.Dr. Senadheera's novelmaterials research program is developing severalnovel materials that are candidates for intellectual property. Two of hisresearch teams recently participated in the NSF Regional I-Corps program, andboth were recommended to the national competition. He has developed and taughtfour graduate courses,and he has been teaching the CE2101 Construction Materials Laboratoryfor the past five years. He is working with hisdepartment to expand thiscourse to CE2201beginning in fall 2018. Dr. Senadheera has received several awards including TTUAlumni Association New Faculty Award, Abell-Hanger Awardand three TxDOT Top Research Innovation awards. He was indicted to the Texas Tech Teaching Academyin 2012.
