Derek Abrams is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Energy Commerce and Business Economics at Texas Tech’s Rawls College of Business. He teaches courses in applied business economics to undergraduate business students and courses in the fundamentals of business economics to TTU students minoring in business. Derek has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Masters in Physics from Texas Tech University. Derek has also received a certificate in strategy and innovation from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. With over 15 years of business experience in engineering and operations, Derek also consults with start-ups, small-to-medium size firms, and non-profits.
