Seungjong Cho

Seungjong Cho, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Texas Tech University. During his doctorate at Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH), he taught social entrepreneurship several times for undergraduate students. Before starting his doctorate, Seungjong worked at Good Neighbors International, an international humanitarian nonprofit organization as a social worker specialized in fundraising, marketing, and strategic planning. He earned his BA and MSW from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. During his MSW at Yonsei School of Social Welfare, his research focused on nonprofit management and philanthropic civic engagements. At Texas Tech University, he is interested in further studying interdisciplinary aspects of urban poverty, neighborhood stressors, mental health racial/ethnic disparities, depressive symptomatology among older adults, and community-based mental health initiatives.
