Barbie Chambers

Barbie Chambers is an associate professor of practice in the College of Media and Communication and the director of the university's Faculty Mentorship Academy. She's worked at TTU for 16 years in the Department of Professional Communication, the Area of Management at the Rawls College of Business, and the Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Center.

In her role as an educator and administrator, Chambers regularly mentors students in career preparation and faculty in instruction, curriculum, and professional growth. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in media entrepreneurship, consulting, media management, corporate communication, and brand development. In addition, she's spent almost 30 years working in the advertising, marketing, and public relations industries with a diverse range of clients.

Barbie focuses her professional currency on management consulting, career coaching, communication training, customer research, and strategic brand development. Additionally, her academic service involves curriculum, assessment, recruiting, marketing, and student development projects.
