James Livermore served as a Law Firm Administrator for 26 years. He was hired as a change agent to lead the firm through paradigm shifts.

He created and installed an accounting system for financial reporting. Additionally, he led the transition from IBM Selectric typewriters to a Citrix Network. He was responsible for network maintenance and training.

Furthermore, he helped the firm go from having no online presence to securing a URL. He also installed an email system. In addition, he created and maintained the firm's web presence.

Finally, he led the shift from a one-attorney-one-secretary model to a system where multiple attorneys shared one paralegal.
