John C. Smothers received his B.B.A. in General Business from Texas Tech University. He has forty-five years of management experience, has helped build and sell three companies, and has relevant training and experience with technology startup issues, product development involving intellectual property portfolios, injection molding processes and distribution of products on a national scale. He was West Texas Division Manager and member of Board of Directors for Texas Industrial Services. He was Executive Vice President and partner of Lubbock CORF (Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility) and was responsible for design, Medicare certification and daily operations. He was Senior Vice President and partner of Gary Products Group and was responsible for Product Development and Intellectual Property management, production design and automation and customer service operations. He as the private sector chairman of the Lubbock Regional Bioscience Initiative from its formation in 2001 through 2010.
