About Me

Carlos is an assistant professor of general veterinary practice graduated from the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. Since he was a kid, he has been fascinated by livestock and farming and back home his family owns a lime tree farm where they raise pure breed American Aberdeen cattle. After his graduation in 2013 he practiced in a cattle ranch before moving to Texas where he has been working in equine general practice for the last 9 years. In addition to the large animal experience, Carlos worked with small animalS for two years before joining the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine faculty.

Instruction

Carlos enjoys different aspects of veterinary medicine such as theriogenology and also field and emergency medicine. Carlos will be teaching large animal clinical and professional skills.

Service

Currently, Carlos is helping the community animal shelter by performing routine surgeries.
