Katelyn Waggoner, DVM

Associate Professor of Equine General Practice

About Me

Katelyn Waggoner is originally from Los Alamos, New Mexico. She received her Bachelors of Animal Science from Texas Tech University prior to pursuing her DVM from Washington State University. She now lives in Amarillo with her husband, son, dogs, cat, and horses. Dr. Waggoner splits her time between Mobile Veterinary Practice (MVP), a local equine practice, and the School of Veterinary Medicine where she teaches equine clinical skills.

Instruction

Dr. Waggoner is a general equine practitioner at a local Practice Partner clinic, MVP, and she instructs at the School of Veterinary Medicine on equine clinical skills lab days. She is looking forward to teaching 4th year students during clinical rotations.

Service

Katelyn and her husband, Corey, are board members of the Randall County Sheriff's Posse, a local organization dedicated to promoting horsemanship, sportsmanship, and citizenship. They recognize that the only way to grow the equine industry is by promoting involvement with the community's youth and fostering an interest at a young age.
