Why Texas Tech?

I chose Texas Tech because I knew as soon as the campus tour ended that this was where I needed to be. I felt a sense of belonging and that Texas Tech was not too far from home but just the right distance.

Tech Testimony

While attending Texas Tech I continue to discover and experience many new things on a daily basis. Whether it is a new organization to get involved with or meeting new people from all around the world and learning from culture things it continues to be a growing experience. I have also made what I believe will be my lifelong friends while attending the University and I still continue to build those relationships as well as make new ones every day. I call Lubbock my home now and my friends here have become my family. The opportunities here are endless.

Most Memorable Experience

The most memorable experience has to be Parents Weekend. Every year we have a weekend dedicated to the parents and my parents always come down. It's great being able to show them what Lubbock has to offer and getting to experience a football game with my family and friends is one of the best experiences as well.

Opportunities

While attending Texas Tech University I have been a part of a service fraternity and I am now currently a part of Greek life. I have attended a few jazz concerts put on by the music department. I also volunteer on my own throughout the Lubbock community.

Words of Wisdom

I would definitely tell future students to get involved. There are so many organizations and clubs you can join regardless of your interest and likes there will be something for you and it will make your experience here all the more memorable. Put yourself out there!
