Institute of Food Technology Scholarship

The Institute of Food Technology Scholarship was established in 1987 by Longhorn Section of The Institute of Food Technologists to provide scholarships to junior, senior or graduate level students studying food science. The objective of the scholarship is to encourage deserving and outstanding students to continue to pursue a curriculum leading to a degree in food science.

The Longhorn Section of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) is a section of IFT, a community of food professionals from across the globe who have come together to advance the science of food. They offer their members an opportunity to network and develop personal and business relationships. They also support students and new professionals in the area who are beginning their careers in food science.

The mission of the IFT is to advance the science and technology of food through the exchange of knowledge.
