The Charles W. Cobb Memorial Scholarship was established in 2021 by friends and family
of Charles W. Cobb to be awarded to students within the Davis College of Agricultural
Sciences and Natural Resources with preference to students studying Animal Science.
Charles Woodburn Cobb was born, February 5, 1938 in Claude, Texas. He attended Claude
Schools and then enrolled in Texas Tech. Charles graduated in 1960 with his Bachelor
of Science in Animal Science. He was an avid Red Raider fan. Charles traveled extensively
both foreign and domestically with this job. He was a grateful friend of Bill Wilson
who never met a stranger and was willing to help any-and-all who needed help. In years
past he was heavily involved in 4-H, and raised Quarter Horses. He met and fell in
love with Jean Holbert and they were married on September 21, 1992 in Grants Pass,
Oregon. He was a member of Fellowship of Believers Church. Charles passed through
Heaven's gates on Thursday, January 21, 2021.
