J. W. and Lillian Potts Endowed Scholarship

The J. W. and Lillian Potts Scholarship Endowment was established by Mr. J. W. and Lillian Potts in 1997. The scholarship is awarded to upperclassmen majoring in the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources who have financial need.

James Walter Potts received a Bachelor of Science degree in Soil Science from Texas Tech University in 1933. He went on to gain a master's degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University. He met his wife, Lillian, at Tech while she was studying general Home Economics. He passed away March 4, 1998 in Post, Texas.
