Rodeo Austin Scholarship

The Rodeo Austin Scholarship was established by Rodeo Austin in 2006. The scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students majoring in the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources.

Rodeo Austin, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, contributing millions annually to the youth of Texas. Through the acclaimed Livestock Show, Fair and Rodeo, and other events, they work toward the advancement of their mission: Promoting Youth Education - Preserving Western Heritage. The scholarship program is at the heart of their charity mission, providing college scholarships to deserving youth. Rodeo Austin ranks as one of Central Texas' largest collegiate scholarship providers.

Their rich history of preserving western heritage began in 1938. Over the years, Rodeo Austin has grown from a stock show featuring 16 animals into one of Austin's premier events, featuring a top 10 ProRodeo, daily concerts, a world class livestock show and more. In addition, the Rodeo Austin Scholarship Program has impacted the lives of thousands of Texas youth, donating millions of dollars to their education.

Scholarship Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic achievement and community involvement. Rodeo Austin establishes the selection criteria, then the partnering educational institutions make the specific student selections each year. To be considered for a Rodeo Austin Scholarship, you must be attending one of the partnering colleges or universities or have participated in 4-H or FFA programs.
