Davis College students featured in December commencement ceremonies

More than 2,500 Texas Tech students, including 195 undergraduates from the Davis College
of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources, received diplomas at the university's
fall commencement ceremonies on Saturday (Dec. 17) at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock.
Separately, outstanding students carried banners representing their respective colleges.
Alexandra Salinas, an agricultural education/agricultural leadership major from Mission, represented
Davis College. Administrators selected the banner bearers based on all-around achievement.
In addition, Texas Tech officials recognized Davis College's highest-ranking fall graduate: Carson Rush, an undergraduate agricultural and applied economics major with a minor in plant and soil science from Lubbock.
Graduation undergraduate recipients from individual departments and majors included:
- Agricultural & Applied Economics: 35
- Agricultural Education & Communications: 13
- Animal & Food Science: 86
- Natural Resources Management: 43
- Plant & Soil Science: 19
