Accelerated BS/MS Program

What is an accelerated BS/MS Program?

An accelerated BS/MS program is a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree in 5 years. Typically, a bachelor’s degree alone is a 4-year program, and a graduate master’s degree is a 2-year program. However, by carefully selecting elective courses in your junior and senior year, you can take courses at the graduate level that will count towards the core degree requirements of a 30-credit hour MS program. This means you can complete your BS degree plan in 4 years, and your MS degree plan in your 5th year of study.

What programs do we offer?

We offer a an accelerated BS/MS program in Chemical Engineering or a BS-Chemical Engineering / MS-Bioengineering. In either program, you can elect to either do a thesis option which entails undertaking a major research project and writing a thesis, or a non-thesis option comprising more elective coursework.
