Texas Tech Faculty-led Summer Study Abroad 2019

Reims, France – May 31 to June 30

Dr. Carole Edwards will lead twelve Red Raiders on the faculty-led study abroad program in Reims, France during the first summer session. Students will earn 6 credits of French courses while discovering France and her rich culture and history on a variety of excursions. Students have the option to spend a weekend in Normandy.

Munich, Germany – May 26-June 28, 2019

Dr. Anita McChesney will lead a group of sixteen Red Raiders to Munich, Germany to earn 6 credits of German language and culture and participate in cultural and historic excursions. Students will stay with host families making for a fully immersion experience abroad.

Sevilla, Spain – May 18-June 22, 2019 & June 20-July 27, 2019

The Texas Tech Center located in beautiful Sevilla, Spain will welcome fifty-seven Red Raiders this summer who are eager to learn and improve their Spanish language skills.

This is a unique opportunity for students to live, learn, travel and enjoy the life, culture and Spanish language while they earn 6 hours of credit. The courses are taught by Texas Tech Spanish faculty with additional support provided by the TTU Center staff in Sevilla, Spain.

Amman, Jordan May 20-June 20, 2019

Sixteen students will have the unique opportunity to explore the rich culture, history and language of Jordan under the direction of Professor Rula Al-Hmoud, Texas Tech Arabic Coordinator and Jordanian native. Students will earn 6 hours of Arabic language and culture with visits to religious sites, markets, restaurants and more.
Participants will provide testimonials of their study abroad experiences in the next issue of the CMLL News.
