Position Description | Administrative position responsible for coordinating and providing student services at Texas Tech University (TTU) School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM). Services include coordinating support for new and continuing students with registration, financial aid, scholarships, and other aspects related to placement. In addition, this individual will assist with coordinating student wellness programs, student tutoring programs, assisting student with accommodations, student organizations, student events, admissions process and student interviews. |
Essential Job Functions | Administrative Student Support: Works directly with students and TTU main campus to support processes and solve problems related to registration, financial aid, and scholarships. Supports Director in coordinating Student Orientation, Wellness programs, Student Tutoring Program, White Coat Ceremony, Graduation, and Student Awards Assembly. Provides guidance to students with registration and scholarships. Supports students in completing all necessary documentation for graduation. Coordinates tutoring opportunities for students. Coordinates student organizations. Assists with admissions process, student recruitment, student interviews, and communication with admissions emails. Utilizes computerized systems to communicate with students, prepare reports, and/or analyze data. Manages student enrollment documentation and processing. Participates in various campus committees and state and regional professional organizations. Other duties as assigned. |
Qualifications | Bachelor's Degree with at least one year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. A strong sense of self accountability and a desire for excellence; exemplary interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to work with individuals as well as large groups and diverse populations. Computer proficiency with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (or similar) and willingness to learn and work with new software applications. Valid driver's license. Prior experience in student services, or related higher education setting. Experience with event planning. |
