Position Description
The Lead Multimedia Specialist produces content for digital media platforms in a manner that is engaging, meaningful and strategically aligned. The position enhances the visibility of Texas Tech University and its brand by inspiring internal and external audiences. The Lead Multimedia Specialist is committed to upholding the reputation and visual identity of the university through video.
Essential Job Functions
Serve in a variety of production roles for video projects across the video storytelling team Develop storyboards, help determine and schedule shoot locations and coordinate with involved parties. Coordinate and execute successful video shoots, including operating video and lighting equipment. it content for Texas Tech University's public-facing platforms. Collaborate with other functional groups within Marketing & Communications to identify and develop storytelling opportunities. Communicate effectively with other Marketing & Communications and university teams and represent video team in various meetings that require development of video products.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Five years of experience in multimedia production
Proven ability to mentor student interns and fellow team members Experience working with professional production teams including production companies, agencies, news organizations or higher education
Strong visual storytelling portfolio demonstrating a range of content for various audiences
Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities
Demonstrate strengths in developing, shooting and editing video content with effective and clear communication and sound judgment Have the ability to film in a variety of settings using natural light, outdoors and in professional studio spaces Know how to upload videos and shorts to YouTube and manage asset management resources like TechShare and PhotoShelter Be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud with an emphasis on Premiere Pro and After Effects Manage multiple projects with attention to details and deadlines in a collaborative environment Receive and incorporate constructive feedback from stakeholders to refine content and meet project goals
