About TTU Study Abroad

Texas Tech University offers a comprehensive range of academic programs in more than 50 countries. Qualified students may study abroad for varying lengths of time - from a brief spring break session to a full academic year. Approved international programs include internships, service-learning, research opportunities, foreign language courses, and courses taught in English that fulfill degree requirements. Study Abroad staff have established strong relationships with campus departments and international partners to provide students with safe and productive experiences abroad.

The Study Abroad team is committed to promoting access to study, research, internships and service-learning abroad. We accomplish this by collaborating with faculty and staff on campus, plus partners around the world. We are experts in international education with years of experience traveling, living and working internationally. We have a passion for helping students meet their goals.

Excellence in International Education

TTU Study Abroad sends 1,400 Red Raiders abroad annually. Review study abroad statistics as well as the Office of International Affairs Year in Review for additional information about student participation.

Beyond the numbers, Texas Tech is known for innovation and excellence in international education. In 2018, Texas Tech was awarded a second Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization by NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
