DOE (design of experiment), magnetic sector mass spectrometry, photochemistry, advanced FT-ICR mass spectrometry, analytical method development for surfactant analysis, product deformulation using FT-IR spectrometry, KF titration method development, ion specific electrodes uses and applications, automated aqueous and non-aqueous titrations, imidazoline synthesis, cationic and amphoteric surfactant synthesis,  MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry of oligonucleotides, oligonucleotide synthesis and purification, photoionization mass spectroscopy, gas phase and liquid phase chemical kinetics, process design of flue gas desulfurization units.
