Complaint Process at the Student Counseling Center
If you are dissatisfied with your therapy experience, you are encouraged to discuss your reactions directly with your therapist, if possible. Understanding your reactions and experiences in therapy can help your therapist adjust the treatment approach to better progress toward your therapy goals.
If youre unable to resolve complaints directly with your therapist youre invited to call 1-806-742-3674 to schedule a meeting with the clinical services director or managing director.
Complaint Process with the State of Texas
NOTICE TO CLIENTS
The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, psychologists, psychological associates, social workers, and licensed specialists in school psychology.
Although not every complaint against or dispute with a licensee involves professional misconduct, the Executive Council will provide you with information about how to file a complaint.

Consumer Complaint Process
The Attorney General of Texas collects and maintains records of consumer complaints to protect Texas residents from unlawful business practices. Information on how to submit a consumer complaint may be found on the attorney generals website:

Know that under Texas law consumer complaints are open to the public and the Attorney Generals office asks that you do not include sensitive or confidential information in your complaint.
